Our metal leaf hybrid knife scales are our signature form of hybrid knife scale. Each set is handmade individually from stabilized burl and urethane resin. For additional interest we add shredded metal leaf that's available not only in gold, silver, and copper. But also in a variety of accent colors such as blue and red. Combined, all this results in a unique and durable handle material for your next knife build. They ship flat, even, and ready for glue up. The knife scales pictured will be the exact set you receive. Guarantee

We guarantee that all our cast resin is clear and free of bubbles. All our scales ship flat and ready to use.
Punky woods such as burl and spalted woods may include voids, cracks, and bark inclusions. We'll fill any major visible inclusions before they ship, however small inclusions may be reveled when shaping.
We recommend Starbond Black CA glue for filling these voids if they happen to appear.

Care and Maintenance

Scales should be stored in a temperate environment until ready to use.
All mixed media scales are prone to warping when exposed to large changes in temperature and humidity. Stabilizations reduces this tendency but is by no means a cure. Once glued to a tang the risk of movement is minimal.
We recommend a buffing wax such as Renaissance Wax as a final finish. This protects the handle and keeps it looking it's best for years to come.
